Popular Post ChrisL Posted June 11, 2018 Popular Post Share #1 Posted June 11, 2018 Found a deal too good to pass up Giant Anthem 29 1. Aluminum framed but specd with SRAM Eagle GX, Level TL brakes, Fox Elite SC fork, fox float rear shock and carbon hoops. A bit spendy but this should be my last bike for a loooong while. I really like how they put high end kit on an Al frame to hit a sweet price point. 10

That's how I feel about Cannondale's CAAD series. Anywho, very nice bike, enjoy it be careful on the WTF sections

dinneR ★ Posted June 11, 2018 Share #6 Posted June 11, 2018 Looks like a really nice bike. Carbon wheels, it must be stupid light. Why no dropper post though?

Why no dropper post though? 25 lbs with pedals so yeah fairly light. The Al frame probably add a lb over carbon but it's plenty light for me. Dropper posts aren't really a thing for XC bikes yet although more people are using them. It has the internal ports to run a post but I probably won't bother. I don't schralp like DH, I'm more about efficiency on climbs.

I also wish I had a FS bike with carbon wheels. Enjoy it, looks like a lot of fun in is in your future!
