G has been at the bottom of the standings, in the middle of the field, and just off the podium in 2 years. Tonight was his best riding. There were probably about 11 kids there despite the stormy weather. He passed the monster of a kid that finished 3rd when that kid had a mechanical (dropped chain?) and was able to hold him off once he got back on the bike. There was another kid that came close and G had to drop the hammer to stay ahead of both. He really put it down on the last lap. Pretty awesome to watch. The first place finisher is amazing. Will wash and lube it and go over it looking for any little things I missed when I got it. He will clean up his and lube it but I will certainly help him. This kid is from another local group Revo Devo (Revolution Development). Good bunch of peeps. He rides a ton and wins a lot. Showed up on a pristine looking Trek 29" HT with some dope assed wheels.
