I got passed by an older guy on aerobars, and he provided a nice carrot for the next several miles. I rarely get passed, but that's more the nature of being spread out over a long route rather than outrunning folks. That's a nice feature of Strava - fly bys - since it lets you see all the activity around you (and keeps you humble) - so you see how folks are gaining or getting dropped.
