Ralphie ★ Posted June 23, 2018 Share #7 Posted June 23, 2018 I hate meeses to peeses! Hanna-Barbera was interesting. At times bland and all the characters were similar, but they still were entertaining. The animation was horribibble though! 2

Both must have been derived from Tonto or Robin. So is the forum our Saturday morning cartoons now?
Ralphie ★ Posted June 23, 2018 Share #10 Posted June 23, 2018 The tall short idiom is so common in cartoons! More commonly known as a sidekick I guess. Moose and Squirrel at the top! Boris Badenov and Natasha Yogi and Booboo Quickdraw and Ali Baba George Jetson and Rastro Abbot and Costello Batman and Robin Longjohn and Petite And many more! (We used to have a couple of electricians at work who were affectionately known as Moose and Squirrel. )
Ralphie ★ Posted June 23, 2018 Share #11 Posted June 23, 2018 So Boris and Rocky were short with tall sidekicks, so Jay Whatever was different than the Hanna-Barberra and rest of the world norm of tall protagonist with short sidekick. Hmm, maybe Jay was short. Gotta look up his last name - the man was a genius. Jay Ward - no mention of his height, but he looked like Teddy Roosevelt. I forgot how witty Moose and Squirrel were. From the Toon World site or whatever: Bullwinkle: You just leave that to my pal. He's the brains of the outfit. General: What does that make you ? Bullwinkle: What else? An executive..

Whatever the case, I am lost, as usual.
