Razors Edge Posted June 26, 2018 Share #1 Posted June 26, 2018 ...but I really don't watch baseball. I do like to attend one or two a year, but really don't care which team wins. Tom
Kzoo Posted June 26, 2018 Share #2 Posted June 26, 2018 The balls are juiced.... oh, wait. I'd say the pitchers are juiced.
a bunch of numbers Posted June 26, 2018 Share #3 Posted June 26, 2018 So, is pitching getting better or are batting skills declining?
a bunch of numbers Posted June 26, 2018 Share #4 Posted June 26, 2018 Just now, Kzoo said: The balls are juiced.... oh, wait. I'd say the pitchers are juiced. Or maybe the batters are juiced and keep missing the ball.

Home runs are also at all time highs as hitters have modified their swing to go yard. Oh and they are strickung out a lot too. What they are finding is the the "numbers" show they would rather have the homer's & RBI's and can live with the increased strike outs. The anomaly to this is Mike Trout who is or was leading the league in homers and is getting on base at a high rate with very few strike outs. The guy is just a joy to watch play

BuffJim Posted June 26, 2018 Share #7 Posted June 26, 2018 I am going to a game in July, I need to know what to look for. Yankees at Indians.
smudge Posted June 26, 2018 Share #8 Posted June 26, 2018 A home run is always exciting, but give me a well-placed hit any day. It's especially satisfying when The Shift is on, and the batter can actually send the ball into the wide open space. Ha!! Take that!!

If it were my money, I would look for both the Yankees and the Indians while I was there. But that's just me.

Should be a good game, both teams are playing good ball. Look for how well Yankees hitting can fare against Clevelands pitching.
