Neither, sabermetrics at work. Home runs are also at all time highs as hitters have modified their swing to go yard.  Oh and they are strickung out a lot too.  

What they are finding is the the "numbers" show they would rather have the homer's & RBI's and can live with the increased strike outs.

The anomaly to this is Mike Trout who is or was leading the league in homers and is getting on base at a high rate with very few strike outs.  The guy is just a joy to watch play

A home run is always exciting, but give me a well-placed hit any day. It's especially satisfying when The Shift is on, and the batter can actually send the ball into the wide open space. Ha!! Take that!!

If it were my money, I would look for both the Yankees and the Indians while I was there.

Should be a good game, both teams are playing good ball.  Look for how well Yankees hitting can fare against Clevelands pitching.
