Popular Post KrAzY Posted July 4, 2018 Popular Post Share #1 Posted July 4, 2018 Well the last couple of days has been basically showing my kids how to do "good things" for others. Friday night I took the kids to play their Pokemon Go game at our local park. On the way home I got to see a car lose control, jump a curb, knock over a fire hydrant, and finish off by tearing down a telephone pole. I tell them to stay in the car, grab my small med kit I carry and ran over to see if the occupants we ok. Everything seemed fine and I waited til the cops came since they refused to have a squad called for them. Sunday I was outside with my youngest watching him mow the lawn. Out of the corner of my eye I see my elderly neighbor lose her footing and the grip on her walker. She hit the ground like a ton of bricks. I ran across the street to help her out. As I was helping her, 4 cars in our hood payed no attention to her and just drove by as I was with her. I got my neighbor back onto her feet, and into her home. I called her daughter since she did not want me to call the squad for her. When her daughter got there I introduced myself and told her I was with a fire department for many years and explained that I stopped the bleeding, but she needed to go in because I am refusing to relocate her shoulder. [Fast forward a day].... Found out her sodium levels were really low and they are keeping her for a few days. Last night I was out once again with my boys playing that silly Pokemon go. On the way home a couple cars either swirved ahread of me, or ran the object over in the road. I came to a stop next to the object in the road and picked up a back back that was being neglected. I went through the front pocket and called the "if found" number on the work ID, left a message and waited. I got a call back from the airport and the guy is on his way to pick up his bag. First it's strange how all this crap keeps happening.. my wife thinks I'm a magnet for weird stuff like this, but it always seems to happen to me no matter where I go. Hopefully my kids are learning the good they can do for other instead of living their life in a bubble like you see people doing nowadays. 10
