Further Posted July 13, 2018 Share #1 Posted July 13, 2018 I like it. I take the skin off, thinking that will lessen the sodium content. It's got to be better than hot dogs.

Zephyr Posted July 13, 2018 Share #5 Posted July 13, 2018 Too salty for me. If we need chicken, we cook up our own
ChrisL Posted July 13, 2018 Share #6 Posted July 13, 2018 We get the grocery ones every now & again. We go to this place called Chicken Maison and their rotisserie chicken is to die for. Not too salty and oh so tender & flavorful. A side of steamed veggies and I'm done. I think we're over due for a visit.
Prophet Zacharia Posted July 13, 2018 Share #7 Posted July 13, 2018 We get one occasionally. not too salty for our tastes.

Kirby Posted July 13, 2018 Share #9 Posted July 13, 2018 My Mom really likes it, but it seems like a lot of bones and icky parts to me. I tend to get just the grilled chicken breasts.
groupw Posted July 13, 2018 Share #10 Posted July 13, 2018 Icky parts are where the flavor is! We get them once in a while. I need to try from the organic grocer. I like a lot of their products.
Ralphie ★ Posted July 13, 2018 Share #11 Posted July 13, 2018 Very rarely, like when we are really hungry with no time to cook dinner. Pretty darn salty and RG is right, the skin is the best part. Parr8hed Posted July 13, 2018 Share #13 Posted July 13, 2018 I've never had one. We will often throw a whole chicken or two into the smoker though. Similar I would imagine.

TrentonMakes Posted July 13, 2018 Share #23 Posted July 13, 2018 I like to think I can roast a tasty chicken myself, but that's not always practical. On a weeknight when we're pressed for time, sure. Rotisserie chicken must be a loss leader at the supermarket. Not sure how they can make any money selling an entire, seasoned, ready to eat chicken for five or six bucks. Not too salty for me.
Parsnip Totin Jack ★ Posted July 13, 2018 Share #24 Posted July 13, 2018 I buy one on occasion. It's cheap and versatile. Feed the family dinner when I don't feel like cooking. Leftovers go into chicken salad and the bones make a good stock that I keep in the freezer. $5 at Costco or the local grocery. Wegmans charges $10, their chicken isn't better than the other places.

MickinMD ★ Posted July 14, 2018 Share #29 Posted July 14, 2018 It's not bad as long as it's not dry. I've had bad luck a couple of times from one particular Walmart (there are 3 within 20 min. of my house) and won't get it there any more.

Costco is far and away the best place to buy rotisserie chicken. You should go there.
team scooter Posted July 22, 2018 Share #31 Posted July 22, 2018 Wife is out of town so I'm fending for myself. Just picked up a rotisserie chicken and a loaf of bread. Add a bottle of Franks Red Hot sauce, and I've got lunch dinner and even tomorrows lunch taken care of. ?
Wilbur ★ Posted July 22, 2018 Share #32 Posted July 22, 2018 Way too salty for me. The convenience to table is good but guzzling gallons of water after wakes me up at night. Beer can chickens are way better and very easy to do in the oven or on the grill.
Tizeye Posted July 22, 2018 Share #33 Posted July 22, 2018 Costco Monster chickens that last wife and I 3 meals. As an added bonus, at $4.95 cheaper than raw chicken at grocery store.
