She had a crush on me in high school and I had a crush on a girl named Joyce who, small world, I met her niece in a Game Stop in Oakland, Maryland on vacation last week buying stuff for my nephews. Joyce now lives in Florida. I originally dated Susan to try to make Joyce jealous but it didn't work and it turned out Susan was the better choice anyway and we went steady until I went to college. She was still in high school, and she wasn't crazy I was becoming a hippie. She began dating, then married, a midshipman going to the U.S. Naval Academy who became a career officer and they lived in Italy most of the time.
