Might have been just a tad too big (or she was a tad too small)...

Longjohn ★ Posted August 7, 2018 Share #7 Posted August 7, 2018 Every time I hear of a Miyata I think of Mazda and every time I think of Mazda I expect it to have a Wankel engine. Does this bike have a Wankel?

Does this bike have a Wankel? It is propelled by rotary motion, so there is that.

ChrisL Posted August 7, 2018 Share #10 Posted August 7, 2018 Myata stopped selling bikes here decades ago. If you just want a beater gravel bike or a commuter maybe, but I'd think you are looking at a 20 + year old bike.

Further Posted August 7, 2018 Share #12 Posted August 7, 2018 If you are looking to buy a Mt. bike, the entry level modern ones are far beyond a pro level from a decade or more ago. Disk brakes are a game changer, and suspension, even if just the fork on a hardtail, has gone to a whole different level. I payed 600.00 for my Rockhopper and it is a capable Mt. bike.

sheep_herder ★ Posted August 8, 2018 Share #15 Posted August 8, 2018 I thought the ? would be enough to let you know there was a 'bit of jest' in my post. The builder that I bought my last two frames from has mountain bikes equipped with disc brakes.
