Popular Post Airehead Posted August 8, 2018 Popular Post Share #1 Posted August 8, 2018 Well at least a partial hole. It doesn't look like the whole hole necessary for the Superior Walls to be put up in the basement. I'm trying to figure out how to get Mr. Aire there to see what is going on. He sends me but I'm no engineer. I need @Thaddeus Kosciuszko to bicycle by and check things out. 6

jsharr ★ Posted August 8, 2018 Share #9 Posted August 8, 2018 After careful study, I will agree with Wilbur that you do indeed have a hole, and I will add that you appear to have piles. Frankly I am both a surprised and appalled that @Wilbur failed to even mention this second fact, as he often brags on these forums about being a pile it.

Kzoo Posted August 8, 2018 Share #11 Posted August 8, 2018 That does not look deep enough for a basement. A raised basement- maybe. A basement set on a high water table, maybe.

The basement is going to be about 40,000 square feet.

Use it to build up the ground where the barn will sit-- I think I will try to get better pictures of the whole hole tonight. It is a walk out basement I know that but I think it will be deeper today. We use rocks we gather to stop them from digging along the fences. @Airehead, can you deliver a truck load of your bigger rocks to Indiana? Our supply is running low.
Razors Edge ★ Posted August 9, 2018 Share #24 Posted August 9, 2018 I have a sneaking suspicion that there is no permit for this hole. Did you remember to get a permit? Cause I don't recall a story around that process at all. That being said, it will be much easier to re-dig that hole since the soil will be loose the second time around.
