AirwickWithCheese Posted August 15, 2018 Share #1 Posted August 15, 2018 https://m.estately.com/listings/info/31-clarendon-avenue--1 Mrs. McKissick's house. I didn't know it was on the market and this one might have been possible. Please curse for me now. This is so bloody unfair.

Mr. Silly Posted August 15, 2018 Share #3 Posted August 15, 2018 Yeah, I bought it about 8 months ago for $569,000. I am planning to tear it down an open a vegan restaurant there. 1
Kirby Posted August 15, 2018 Share #4 Posted August 15, 2018 I'd be wary of the "as is" status on an older house. Perhaps you dodged a bullet!
AirwickWithCheese Posted August 15, 2018 Author Share #5 Posted August 15, 2018 Just now, Kirby said: I'd be wary of the "as is" status on an older house. Perhaps you dodged a bullet! I wouldn't care if it had no roof. That house was the house in the 1940s. Her garden looked like Babylon. I am sick of this!!!!!

Mr. Silly Posted August 15, 2018 Share #7 Posted August 15, 2018 This one is cute even though they could manage the difficult task of matching the vinyl siding plus it is still available.

I'm sorry this makes you sad Cheese. I felt sad when my parents sold the house in the Catskills, so many childhood memories just gone. But when we've gone back and looked at the house, the new owners really restored it with great care and it's nice to see the house being loved and used. I hope this house gets a similar outcome. Page Turner Posted August 15, 2018 Share #14 Posted August 15, 2018 ...that's a shame. It goes without saying that the new owners don't deserve it as much as you do.
Kzoo Posted August 15, 2018 Share #15 Posted August 15, 2018 For $569,000 I'd think someone would at least put some water in that little cement pond. Geesh...

Page Turner Posted August 15, 2018 Share #17 Posted August 15, 2018 ...I think maybe the last house that sold near me went for about that price. And these are two and three bedroom California Ranch houses from the 50's.
