Ralphie ★ Posted September 15, 2018 Share #1 Posted September 15, 2018 Six chicken legs, grilled with salt and pepper. They were fantastic! Three last night and three tonight. Mrs. Mooseworth is OOT, and she is not a fan of chicken legs but I sure am. Ruby agrees. 3

Ralphie ★ Posted September 15, 2018 Author Share #3 Posted September 15, 2018 Just now, Randomguy said: I bought some of those yesterday at Trader Joe's, also six of them. I couldn't believe they wanted like $3.50/lb for wings, $1.99 for boneless breasts, and $1.49 for legz. They are even cheaper in bulk. Who the hell would pay that for wingz? When 14 of us rented a cabin at Deep Creek Lake in Western Maryland in July, I took a chance that chicken prices wouldn't be out of this world in the resort town's Walmart, planning to bake chicken legs and thighs (coated with Weber dry BBQ rub) and cook mac & cheese and green beans on my night to cook. The legs and thighs were fine at $1.23/lb but I noted similarly large (4-5 lb) packages of wings were $3.99/lb!

Dirtyhip Posted September 17, 2018 Share #8 Posted September 17, 2018 I was so proud today. I bought a 3 pack of yeast for 18 cents. It was on sale for 68 cents and I had a 50 cent coupon. I also got a pack of cream cheese for 33 cents, and a head of organic lettuce for $1.29. It was a decent shopping trip. 3 bags of groceries for 34 bucks.
