True story.  In 1993 my oldest sister was a campaign manager for Carol Moseley Braun's Senate victory.  At the time she was known as Carol Moseley-Braun.  Seating assignments for n00by Senators were given alphabetically and she found out she was shuffled to the rear of the pack because her last name started with M (Mosley-Braun).  She fought that unsuccessful.  She then legally changed her name (SisteroKzoo helped with that too) to Carol Moseley Braun (sans hyphen) so she could get a more favorable seating assignment - B.
