If I point the camera down a bit where the smaller critters come we can have 1 picture every 30 seconds for most of the night. Deer, fox, possum, skunk, raccoon, coyote (don't really want to attract them but lights seem to discourage them) and even an occasional midnight cat (not mine). If the camera is left out during the day the pics are dominated by squirrels, chipmunks, birds of various types. Those are better done with a normal camera however. These pics show the advantage of having the outside lights on. They are of higher quality than the pure infrared flash pics we get in full darkness. This is however an excellent camera in the $100 range for shooting unattended day or night pictures of wildlife. Several hundred pics a night however will eat lots of expensive batteries. 8 high grade lithium AA's last less than a month.
smudge ★ Posted October 28, 2018 Share #10 Posted October 28, 2018 Get the solar panel. I think you can adjust the sensitivity too. The critters need to fatten up for the winter months. Anyway that's what I'm saying about my own hibernation preparation. ahem....
