Popular Post Rattlecan ★ Posted November 12, 2018 Popular Post Share #1 Posted November 12, 2018 I'm now a legitimate senior citizen. I get to ride the bus for free on Mondays, cheap movie tickets, all kinds of goodies. I should have done this sooner. ? 8

onbike1939 Posted November 12, 2018 Share #6 Posted November 12, 2018 I think that growing old is not all it's cracked up to be myself....dear me no. I've heard all of that guff about the supposed virtues and all, but none of these make up for having to pee at five minutes intervals.
donkpow Posted November 12, 2018 Share #7 Posted November 12, 2018 I've been getting the free "senior drink" at Wendy's for a while now. I'm sure @MickinMD has the complete list of senior benefits.

Longjohn ★ Posted November 12, 2018 Share #9 Posted November 12, 2018 I think Perkins has a senior day ( Tuesday I think). We don go there often but one day we stopped in and had to wait for a table. We were the youngest people in the whole place.
donkpow Posted November 12, 2018 Share #10 Posted November 12, 2018 10% senior discount at Goodwill stores on Wednesdays. I believe. Pep Boys (Manny, Moe, & Jack) has a senior discount. Check the store for days. It might be Tuesdays. Our store gives a senior discount any day, when I ask.

Although I do have to get up and go about 4 or 5 times each night. I have forgotten what it is like to go to bed and sleep through the night. Now about every other year my dermatologist prescribed an expensive face cream and in September my eye doctor prescribed eye drops. My dad was in his early 90's and had no scripts. I took him to the ER and they wanted his list - there is none. The floor nurse showed up a bit later seeing a mistake on the floor and wanted his list of scripts - there is none. The pharmacy upstairs getting his pain meds wanted his list of scripts as they couldn't write the pain med without it so a pharmacy tech comes down to the ER to get it from him - there is none. A half hour later the head of the pharmacy showed up to finally get his list of scripts because somewhere in the process that was dropped - THERE IS NONE. The next day he is in his room and an MD (in internal medicine doc) from 2 floors up showed up in his room and wanted to meet the 90+ yo guy with no scripts. He heard there was a rumor that this guy existed and he needed to check it out himself. He had never seen that before. 1 3
