Even here in Central Maryland, it's been 30's and 20's at night.  I bought a heavy, lined, blue-plaid flannel jacket that I thought would look great in December but I've worn it a few times already.

I made the mistake of buying heavy, well insulated, bright red coveralls. I just need a white beard and a belt and I could be Santa. Those coveralls are so warm that I usually just wear underwear and a t-shirt under it.

I remember one trip I made to CA in January one year.  It was -25 F when I left home.  At the agricultural check station at the border, the checker was standing there in an Arctic parka with the hood and fur trim, ski gloves and winter hat.  I rolled down the window and it the temperature had to be 58-60 degrees.  I was expecting at least mid 30's.

Currently 40F at 1:00am MST, but a cool down is forecast for this evening and over the weekend.

Sounds like Florida.  At 60 the locals are wearing Starter football gear and the gas fireplace is lit at the Residence Inn.
