Randomguy Posted November 25, 2018 Share #1 Posted November 25, 2018 I quit growing a while ago, and have been shrinking a little bit. I used to be 5'10", and now I am 5' 9.5" If I lose one tenth of an inch a year, that is one inch a decade. I will be un-tall if I make it to 100.
KrAzY Posted November 25, 2018 Share #2 Posted November 25, 2018 I'm 5'8" and at one time I swear I was 5'9". But who knows... I do know I'm a lot stronger then I look..but really not all that good looking either.
Longjohn ★ Posted November 25, 2018 Share #3 Posted November 25, 2018 I have had nurses ask me how tall I used to be. I said I was all sizes up until I graduated high school. I've been 6'5" ever since. They are surprised I haven't shrunk some in 69 years. 2

Road Runner Posted November 25, 2018 Share #5 Posted November 25, 2018 I was 6'3" when I was young. Now about 6"1". At this rate, people will be calling me "Shorty" when I'm 95.

ChrisL Posted November 25, 2018 Share #7 Posted November 25, 2018 I was talking to my cousin during the ride today and he said he shrank 2 inches? He's my age and we have been nearly identical in size our whole life. He's actually my white body double as we are built identically. Well apparently he's two inches shorter than me now.

He doesn’t happen to be a baker does he? I stay away from using shortening when I bake and just use butter. If you use shortening it might be a good idea to wear gloves. 1
maddmaxx ★ Posted November 25, 2018 Share #9 Posted November 25, 2018 Most people are taller in the morning than just before bedtime. The average spine compresses a surprising amount during a day on your feet. I was 6'1" when I was in the Navy and barely 5'11" now. but then that was 50 years ago. I think the missing height is still there just in a different direction. 2

I think a lot of people get shorter because of posture changes. When growing up, there was some attention to walk and sit properly. I don't think that's true anymore. Certainly not among younger generations.

Mr. Silly Posted March 9, 2020 Share #22 Posted March 9, 2020 After losing weight all last year, it has finally stabilized at 183. Good news is I am down about 45 pounds. The bad news is that the weight loss was due to diabetes.
