Popular Post Tizeye Posted December 2, 2018 Popular Post Share #1 Posted December 2, 2018 It is getting that time of year where the manatee leave the colder waters of the river to the spring fed run where the water is a constant 72 degrees F year round. On extremely cold days near freezing, up to 400 can be seen in the run and so popular they have to close the State park when parking lots are filled. One day I experimented with an elevate panoramic with the camera about 18' above the observation dock. 5

I know, they mess up all of my sunset pictures unless I go to the other side of Skunk hollow where they don’t have electric to take my photos. It’s about a tenth of a mile walk.

groupw Posted December 7, 2018 Share #22 Posted December 7, 2018 He’s only 3 years old and he is huge! They were doing vaccinations and DNA samples of members of the herd. He maxed out the chute used to contain them for the shots and blood draws. For the safety of the workers, they only got the hair sample from the tail! There are a couple larger bulls they did not bring in. They expect him to start making a move up the hierarchy very soon. 1

Longjohn ★ Posted December 10, 2018 Share #36 Posted December 10, 2018 Interesting looking stage, it had Christmas trees all over it on Friday night for a concert. I was surprised to see them all gone this morning. The stage always looks good to me with my son on it. I can’t wait to see my twin grandsons up there with daddy someday. 2
