Popular Post goldendesign Posted December 3, 2018 Popular Post Share #1 Posted December 3, 2018 Got here Saturday and immediately set out walking. We bough a "Go" card and I think overall the 2-day pass ended up just breaking even. Maybe during the summer when more things are open and transport is easier we could have truly gotten our monies worth. That said it still worked to get into all the houses and museums along the Freedom trail. We ended up walking all the way to Bunker Hill, got there right before the museum closed so we got to power through it. Hit some local foodie/touristy spots like the Barracuda Tavern and Ye Olde Oyster House. We came back to seaport to eat at our hotels trendy restaurant for dinner. Ended up staying at the Aloft as it is right across from the convention center. Sunday was raining almost all day but we aren't just fair weather tourist, we are seasoned pros. Got up early and were walking by 6am. Went to some local greasy spoon near China town, toured CHina town on the way to the Aquarium. The aquarium is wonderful, excellent displays and knowledgeable staff. From there we headed to Harvard and MIT for a museum whirlwind. Very nice time so far. Today I have work to do in the afternoon and setup for conference.
