Road Runner Posted December 11, 2018 Share #1 Posted December 11, 2018 3 lb bag of Galas from WalMart. I couldn't help it, they were $1.99. I don't usually buy Galas from W-M because they are frequently mushy. But 67 cents a lb!?!? So I just tried one and it was crisp and semi-sweet, just as God intended. When they are right, Galas are still my favorite apple. 1

smudge ★ Posted December 11, 2018 Share #4 Posted December 11, 2018 I'm all about Macs. There is a WI farm that local grocery stores get them from, and they are super good. Mmmmmm, I love Macs.
BuffJim Posted December 12, 2018 Share #5 Posted December 12, 2018 My wife, BuffCarla has recently come to believe that HoneyCrisp is the only variety of Apple. At Wegmans they are over $2.00 per each.
