Blood Sugar dropped a little...not enough to make me happy..but it did go down..hoping it goes down a bit more as the scale goes down!!

Excellent.  Are you taking statins?

My father and I should have our genetics studied because I can and he could throughout life eat the worst diets and still have cholesterol in the 128-157 range with good HDL and LDL numbers.

So I was astonish in December when he asked me if I would consider taking statins.  He said diabetics, even those without cholesterol problems, have been shown to benefit from statins considerably more than non-diabetics who take statins.  I said I'd wait until I saw my new diabetic specialist, the 2nd time I've seen her, to decide.  She said all her diabetic patients were on statins and that I would need a very low dose.  So I'm in.

No to the drugs..and not that big of a diet improvement..just exercise!

Now the doc is worried about some other number..dealing with kidney function...but according to records (and it shows on my on line chart....the numbers for that function have been the same for 9 years :dontknow:

She wants the BP lower...I need to push stress reduction and weight loss for now...

Do to overall degeneration in my spine, I am worried about internal functions that have associated nerves coming from the spine. Which is, of course, nearly everything. I've been on the chase of a cervical spinal manipulation technique of the atlas (C1) vertebra that can lower BP in individuals who show a specific misalignment. I am also removing an nsaid from my diet as it may be causing higher BP. I am trying to suppress the problem I am having with overall inflammation by supplementing with curcuminoids and piperine.

Yup..she wants both numbers down more..and may increase my 5mg dose in a couple of months. This other number GFR :dontknow: that number has been in the same for at least 10 years...not sure what the deal is.

That’s their latest thing, my doctor said the same think about kidney function. I have blood work every twelve weeks to monitor it.
