The news reported in leau of the Orcas facing extinction (whose diet is salmon) had runs 600% lower than 40 years ago. In other words, over 6 times less than what it was. Oh salmon is on the endangered list too.

dinneR ★ Posted January 18, 2019 Share #6 Posted January 18, 2019 That is one seriously F'd up website. I clicked the first link and saw no mention of orcas or salmon. They need to hire someone to design a better site instead of using some free thing.
Dottleshead ★ Posted January 18, 2019 Author Share #7 Posted January 18, 2019 Oh I can find others but too lazy. There's news on it every week here. Sorry for not providing a better post. On phone and posting is a pain in the , ummmm, rear end.

Randomguy Posted January 18, 2019 Share #12 Posted January 18, 2019 I really don't care about those big stinky fish, I am allergic to seafood. I hate the beach and the cold water, those killer whales will just have to start eating pandas and such instead.

Tizeye Posted January 19, 2019 Share #16 Posted January 19, 2019 This hot January is a concern. Normally we have manatee huddling around the springs for the necessary warmth, but it hasn't been cool enough for them to leave the river which has more food. It is not unusual for these runs to start before Christmas. We were swimming in the Atlantic on Christmas Day...and the beach was crowed. My concern is...which the news media hasn't picked up on yet... is that we don't have cold fronts processing through an cooling the Atlantic. Hot ocean water are the fuel for hurricanes. Expect very strong storms next summer.
