BuffJim Posted January 20, 2019 Share #52 Posted January 20, 2019 11”. Just about done here. Going out to shovel soon. I’ll probably put in two 30-45 minute shoveling sessions in today. Playing hooky from church.

I don’t watch a lot of TV preachers, but I guess David Jeremiah is my fav. To those who don’t know, there’s a hell of a difference between these decent guys and the notorious TV preachers that are easy to lampoon. Literally. He sounds like he has been doing this too long. I like David Jeremiah. My favorite pastor is ministering in Colorado this weekend (my son). Pastor Juan always does a good job. My autism boy is staying home today.
Razors Edge ★ Posted January 20, 2019 Share #56 Posted January 20, 2019 Got some more rain in the forecast for today, so I am hoping it continues to wash away the snow on paved surfaces. It's getting better already.

a bunch of numbers Posted January 20, 2019 Share #58 Posted January 20, 2019 We got about 8" or so and drifting. I made a mess out of my driveway because my tractor wouldn't push it. Especially at the end of the drive where the road plows throws all the heavy snow and road debris. My dog had a good time trying to figure out how to poop in it. Tizeye Posted January 20, 2019 Share #64 Posted January 20, 2019 Two year old grandson learning to ski today for first time. He likes sledding better...it's faster than the kiddie slope. Can't post the video coming down the slope as it is a straight mp4 file...not YouTube link.
BuffJim Posted January 20, 2019 Share #65 Posted January 20, 2019 I can’t remember the name for the hard packed snow the snowplow leaves. Evil stuff.
maddmaxx ★ Posted January 20, 2019 Share #66 Posted January 20, 2019 They said the temps here would drop after noon. I went out in the rain an cleared about an inch of slush off the cars just in time. They are now skinned in ice. The trees aren't icing but the metal cars did. CT now has almost 18,000 people without power, not too bad at 1.5% of total customers........unless of course it's you.

Prophet Zacharia Posted January 20, 2019 Share #71 Posted January 20, 2019 It’s 15 degrees now, temps dropping to single digits over night. I shoveled about 4” of snow, there’s a layer of frozen snow/ice that is residual on the pavement. Copious salt put down to try to get to bare concrete. here’s a fun example of driving attempts around here.
