I was diggin' those bike pics (Fox shocks, Maxxis tires) until I saw Eagle and Sram. Bleh! :P

I loved the Shimano SLX/XT drivetrain and SLX brakes on my 1st mtn bike but I'm really happy with my SRAM GX Eagle drivetrain and Level TL brakes on the Anthem.  It's good stuff.

Bleh. I don't like the Sram stuff on my fattie. I like the Shimano stuff on my three other bikes way better.

I never have issues with my SRAM stuff.  The only time it didn't shift was when I ripped the derailleur arm in half.

I could almost picture the black socks.

You know it.  Black socks for life.

my road bike resides in my living room

My clean CruX rests in the garage. The roads are really not great for skinny. The plows have trouble with all the parked cars around here. It leaves large swaths of unplowed chunky snow.  The plow doesn't return until the next dump.  Repeat.

Yeah totally.  Mine aren't nearly that bad but getting there.

Some of those gouges came with an endo, Some caused my entire bike to shift to the side. One time it was so powerful I am surprised I kept motoring down the trail.  I felt it in my bones. haha

Correct, Shimano gear is expected at all times on all bikes.

Shimano has been historically exceptional with their component groups. You can never go wrong with it.

Correct, even the heathen Italians agree.

Did anyone notice how chewed up my crank arm was?   @smudge.  MTB life.

Oh I noticed! I was hoping it was mostly dirt. Man, rough on equipment!

I so very much miss my Hei Hei. It's in the basement, and I see it every day; but I think it's been a couple months now since I've ridden it. Probably at least two more months before I ride it again.  Such a sad girl I am.
