Popular Post dinneR ★ Posted February 4, 2019 Popular Post Share #1 Posted February 4, 2019 GF and I volunteered at the HS Nordic race this weekend. They sent us into the woods with an air horn to keep the moose off the course. Lots of tracks, but no moose were sighted. The most inspiring racer was the daughter of GF's friends. She was blind and skied with a guide who talked her through the course. Her dad was all over the course yelling encouragement to her. Around the corner up the hill Down the hill. This hill was short, but super steep. One kid asked if she could take her skis off and walk it. She ended up scooting down on her butt.

late Posted February 4, 2019 Share #4 Posted February 4, 2019 We were staying in a hut halfway up Mt Katahdin, the end of the AT. There was a driving rain, so wearing nothing but my undies, and boots without socks (so they wouldn't get wet) I ran flat out for the outhouse. I came around a blind corner, and nearly ran into the back end of a Momma moose. She just swing her head around and looked at me, I took the long way round.
