It wasn't Friday or the thirteenth or even Haloween.  I hope this was a raccoon who just liked to climb a bit up the tree.  I don't think is was a cat.  If neither of those 2 then I'm not going out after dark.

Look at Amazon for trail cameras.  As I told wheels beware of "low glow" leds.  They are designed to make the camera almost invisible when the IR flash goes off (as much as for any other reason it's to keep people from stealing it).  Unfortunately that leads to shorter range and dimmer pictures.
