Just ordered a couple of bottles of Giuseppe Giusti balsamic vinegar.  One is white.  It is so delicate and yummy.  Perfect for a lighter dressings and a lively addition for a veggie dish.  Deglazing is equally nice with certain meat dishes.

We've done some balsamic vinegar "tastings" and it is pretty fun (and delicious).

There are a bunch of balsamic vinegar and olive oil stores popping up across the land, similar in many respects to the growth of wine, beer, tea, and coffee specialists that have blazed a trail for "foodie" type places.  We liked this place (Humble) near my in-laws for it's nice shopping and sampling experience (and an on-line presence).

Another interesting story - for foodies - was on Clay Oliver and is variety of cooking oils.  He's down @2Far's way, but seems he makes some pretty nice and some unique oils.
