Randomguy Posted February 23, 2019 Share #1 Posted February 23, 2019 You know, the stuff that has been in the news recently. I think if I was one of those old billionaires, I would be doing that every day just to see if it helps.

MickinMD ★ Posted February 23, 2019 Share #5 Posted February 23, 2019 I'm a chemist, not a biologist - though I did minor in bio. For what it's worth, it seems to me the aging problem is with the cells of the various organs and young blood doesn't help it since the old blood was still providing chemical transport. Young blood is simply like delivering food to a collapsing building with a Mercedes instead of with a Toyota Yaris. The Yaris would have done just as well - it's the collapsing building you should try to improve.
Square Wheels Posted February 23, 2019 Share #6 Posted February 23, 2019 There is no such thing as young blood. A red lives about 120 days, we produce billions of them every day. All of us.

shootingstar Posted February 23, 2019 Share #8 Posted February 23, 2019 Why do people want to live so long? Or sorry..... maybe it's people want to be young for 90 yrs. of their life and then they suddenly die, right? No dementia, heart problems, wheelchair confinement, etc.

Longjohn ★ Posted February 23, 2019 Share #12 Posted February 23, 2019 New blood might help me, I don’t know. My oncologist says my immune system seems to be controlling my disease, maybe someone else’s blood wouldn’t do that as well?
