Popular Post Reverend_Maynard Posted May 25, 2014 Popular Post Share #1 Posted May 25, 2014 Yesterday I rode a century ride from Seekonk to Plymouth, MA and back, consequently more than doubling my road miles for the year. Prior to this, I'd ridden one ride of about 25 miles, and a metric century a few weeks ago. Most of my riding is off-road, so the mileage is much less, but time wise I ride around the amount that a typical century trainer might ride, 8-10 hours per week. http://ridewithgps.com/trips/2700450 I felt better at the end than I did on my second century, when I really didn't ride enough leading up to it, but not as good as my first where I really purpose trained all year for it. Slept like the dead last night, minor aches and pains this morning, but nothing debilitating.

smudge ★ Posted May 25, 2014 Share #7 Posted May 25, 2014 Good job!! I'm trying to convince myself to do the 100 mile route at the Menominee River Century Ride this year instead of the 77 miles I usually do. Knowing I may sleep like the dead but not wake up dead makes me feel much better about doing the 100 miles. Thanks!!

jsharr ★ Posted May 27, 2014 Share #14 Posted May 27, 2014 Awesome! I did not ride this weekend really. Rode to a crit series in our hood as a friend was racing. Then he and I and Wade rode to lunch, but all told, it was about 3 miles of riding. However, Wade did that on my old Cannondale and then he let Ryan lower the seat on his Trek 7.2 and they went for a ride together today after Ryan rode the Trek on the trainer.
