Ralphie ★ Posted March 14, 2019 Share #1 Posted March 14, 2019 We have been adding things to her dog food to get her to eat. It worked! i was surpised it was that much. That is nearly 1/3 of her original weight! So now we have cut back. Funny when she was light we were free feeding her. I guess those amendments are eville!
Longjohn ★ Posted March 14, 2019 Share #2 Posted March 14, 2019 Adding stuff to animal feed does have that effect. Our feral cats were lean and fit until they started getting half or more of my wife’s uneaten dinner plus all the leftovers that had been in the fridge for a week. Now they are big and buff, nobody messes with Oreo, he is the Alfa cat.
Ralphie ★ Posted March 14, 2019 Author Share #3 Posted March 14, 2019 So Oreo spends half his time in the shop?

Rubes and I can go on a diet and up the walking mileage together now that spring is springing!

Further Posted March 14, 2019 Share #7 Posted March 14, 2019 We've been cat sitting since November. Jordan has probably gained 3 pounds. It took 7 or 8 months for my sis in law to take off the weight we put on him last time she left him here. He is a 13 year old neutered cat, his hobbies are eating, sleeping, & pooping.

team scooter Posted March 14, 2019 Share #11 Posted March 14, 2019 Yay Ruby. When they first rescued our Maggie, she weighed only 10 pounds including the 10 months worth of matted hair growth. Now she seems to have leveled off at a healthy 16 pounds with short hair and you cant feel her spine and ribs anymore. Which is good because she has become the very definition of a daddy's girl lap dog. Taking her on the road trip in the Miata this summer should be interesting....
