Popular Post Longjohn ★ Posted March 14, 2019 Popular Post Share #1 Posted March 14, 2019 WOLJ is starting to eat again and her favorite thing is crudités. I have prepared them for her three days in a row at her request. Tonight I gave her a little bit of chicken stir fry too. She liked the veggies the best. 11 2

Longjohn ★ Posted March 15, 2019 Author Share #5 Posted March 15, 2019 I ate half of her stir fry. She said it was too garlicky and she was full.

Longjohn ★ Posted March 15, 2019 Author Share #7 Posted March 15, 2019 Movement is still hard on her so she limits it to bathroom visits but when she is sitting still in her recliner she appears to be almost back to normal.

Longjohn ★ Posted March 17, 2019 Author Share #12 Posted March 17, 2019 She has had the same thing every evening for dinner. I was working on our taxes and was late fixing her supper. I didn't take a picture tonight because it looked the same, sweet red and yellow pepper strips, celery, black olives, cucumber, and a few slices of pickled beets served with some Ranch dip. It's what she craves, I like that better than when she first had her treatment and was just eating junk food. 2
Airehead Posted March 17, 2019 Share #13 Posted March 17, 2019 She seems to be doing a good job listening to her body. How are you getting protien in her?

She wanted a fish sandwich for lunch. She’s not wanting a whole lot of protein. With the crudités I give her a baby Bella cheese. She has had hot sausage and kielbasa sandwiches for lunch too. Not my thing but I fix them for her.
late Posted March 17, 2019 Share #15 Posted March 17, 2019 Broccoli is a superfood, good for healing up. The 2 things I would change in this recipe would be to use chicken bone broth (good for healing) and more brocoli. Set some of the florets aside, but puree the bulk of them. Trader Joes sells bags of ground up broccoli, and bone broth... https://www.foodandwine.com/recipes/potato-and-broccoli-soup
Longjohn ★ Posted March 18, 2019 Author Share #16 Posted March 18, 2019 More crudités, I asked her if she wanted a salad instead and she said she wanted the same thing again. I made a salad for myself.
