Thaddeus Kosciuszko Posted May 28, 2014 Share #4 Posted May 28, 2014 so how much is a 100 bearings, around seven bucks? I would not recommend buying the 100 ball bearing, using 8 to repair the glider rocker, and then taking the other 92 and secretly putting them into the aluminum tubes on the walkers of all the other residents. The rattling of the bearings inside the metal tubes would drive everyone crazy. No, I would not recommend doing that.
jsharr ★ Posted May 28, 2014 Share #5 Posted May 28, 2014 Best bet would be to call the chair maker. http://www.gliderchairs.com/parts/ Or give us the chair maker and chair model so we can google it for you.
UglyBob Posted May 28, 2014 Share #6 Posted May 28, 2014 From your description I would assume these are sealed bearings. There should be a number on the rubber seal of the bearing. Search for that number on Google and go to the shopping section. You should find tons of them cheap. You can also try ebay for them.
petitepedal ★ Posted May 28, 2014 Author Share #7 Posted May 28, 2014 I have not seen the rocker...it was purchased somewhere that is now out of business...and form what I gathered in conversation...there is no name on the rocker....might have come from an unpainted furniture store...she has the bearings...I suggested she put one in a baggie and hit a couple of hardware stores..looking like a lost little old lady and ask for help That and posting here was my best answer. Pokey Posted May 28, 2014 Share #8 Posted May 28, 2014 Try here. I've purchased some chair parts from Van Dykes and was pleased with their products. http://www.vandykes.com/default.aspx?CAPCID=48211991086&cadevice=c&gclid=CPuRmPrbz74CFdSMMgod6hEAng&CA_6C15C=120019340000097258
