Cancer sucks

Funeral tomorrow for a friend.  46 yo and battled cancer for the last few years.  First skin cancer then brain cancer.  Then the skin cancer came back.  That’s the second in the last 3 months.

In the last 4 years I’ve lost 5 close friends to cancer, one to suicide, both of my parents and my father in law.  I’m getting real tired of funerals - actually the reason for the funerals.

I'm sorry for your loss.  It seems worse when it's someone relatively young.

My condolences, I know the frustration and that comes with watching loved ones succumb to long bouts with cancer.

Both of my parents, some aunts and uncles, and a few friends lost battles with cancer, most recently my brother's very excellent mother-in-law.

Cancer really sucks, I am sorry you have to go through this again.

I no longer go to funerals.  Most of the people I grew up with are gone.  Except for womaxx and my two sons there is no family left.  I too am tired of finding that the people I knew have passed.

How sad an exhausting.

In reading this whole thread,.....wonder why there's enough cancer …?  At work it seems 90% of all  my colleagues know someone close who died from cancer, including me....my father, my aunt and my baby great-nephew has brain cancer now.
