petitepedal ★ Posted May 31, 2014 Share #4 Posted May 31, 2014 I did 2 laps at Como Lake (the one in St. Paul...not Italy )....that would be about 7000 steps...or 3.something miles. Did a pretty good pace. Remember...I got short legs
UglyBob Posted May 31, 2014 Share #5 Posted May 31, 2014 28.2 slow painful miles on the touring bike. Every joint from my hips down hurts today. Got a late start today, so the temp was up to a nice 106F over the pavement when I finished. Nice and toasty...
petitepedal ★ Posted May 31, 2014 Share #6 Posted May 31, 2014 I just did a second walk...somewhere between 2 and 3 miles....about 5500 steps...with incline...this walk gives me credit for 11 flights of stairs (this mornings walk was way less hilly)...83 and humid....Oh and I have started my laundry more stairs!!

UglyBob Posted May 31, 2014 Share #8 Posted May 31, 2014 What is the cause of the pain? Old, fat, arthritic and on several meds for high cholesterol. The catch 22 is that I need to ride more to feel better, but riding hurts right now.
Road Runner Posted May 31, 2014 Author Share #9 Posted May 31, 2014 Old, fat, arthritic and on several meds for high cholesterol. The catch 22 is that I need to ride more to feel better, but riding hurts right now. I have some arthritis, too, and I agree, you need to stay active if possible. I take a lot of aspirin and Advil to help. Does your cholesterol medicine cause your joints to ache? I've heard it can cause muscle pain. You probably should tell your doctor if you think any of your meds might be causing any of your joint pain. Anyway, hope you feel better. Maybe the warmer weather will help a little. Former member Posted May 31, 2014 Share #15 Posted May 31, 2014 57.8 miles at about 16mph average. It seemed really hot, but never got over 108 degrees.
Road Runner Posted June 1, 2014 Author Share #16 Posted June 1, 2014 28.4 miles @ 17.1 average. Strong northeast winds were knocking me back to the 14's, even in the drops. I hate wind almost more than traffic lights.
