Road Runner Posted June 1, 2014 Share #2 Posted June 1, 2014 A lot of guys seem to do very well with bent cranks. Which way is it bent?

Former member Posted June 1, 2014 Share #4 Posted June 1, 2014 You bent a crankshaft by hitting a stump? That doesn't sound possible.
jsharr ★ Posted June 1, 2014 Author Share #5 Posted June 1, 2014 You bent a crankshaft by hitting a stump? That doesn't sound possible. Happens all the time. Heavy piece of metal spinniing at 4000 rpm hit imovalbe object, things bend. Had a tree cut down and stump was higher than I thought, caught end of blade in stump and bent the blade and the crankshaft on the engine. Gooing to have crank replaced or buy a new engine. Three year old Honda that I love. I am sad and my yard is half mowed.
