I am sitting here looking at the lilacs

They have been among our longest lived original plantings, although they don’t bloom with nearly the vigor they had when they were young. 

I miss the perennial flower garden that is long gone. It was beeyootiful, especially the tall digitalis/foxglove. The lavender was nice too. And the bleeding heart liberals were cool too!

Your lilacs are not blooming yet are they? Ours bloom in June.  Here is what our lilacs look like right now.

Yes, they are. I thought we were only aboot 2 weeks ahead of you, but it must be more like 4-6 then. I can’t take a pic now since it would be right into the sun.  Oh wait, I can if I get off my ass!

Mine are behind schedule. We just had crocus blooms last week until the bunnies ate them! Probably be a couple weeks for lilacs.

Crocuses are aboot the only bubs we have that didn’t get eaten!

We are about a month out for lilacs

...lilacs are almost bloomed out here. And the first few days of upper 80's, and lower 90's have arrived.  I tuned up the irrigation system yesterday, and took some pictures of the last of the flowers that will be around except roses for the next few months in my garden. The bees have been hard at work out in the citrus trees, and it looks like I'll get some cherries, if the birds don't eat all of them.

The lilacs in front yards and some planted along the walking/bike trail in my favorite park between Baltimore and Annapolis are in bloom.  Many of the flowering trees and bushes have lost their petals and blue-colored cars like mine are turning green from the pollen.  I am not allergic to anything specific - I had that 24-pin test, etc. - but it was determined by the specialist I saw that I have "small particle allergies."  So my sinuses are having their usually irritating April.

I got my rear-ended car back, all repaired, air bag recall taken care of, a couple of other maintenance things that I should have done 1-3 years ago taken care of, and they also did something I seldom do: washed the car.  Now it looks like new!  I'm enjoying the shorter turning radius and width again but I'll miss that excellent 2019 Subaru Forester rental I had!

i love driving both my daughters' Fits- very zippy!  The cvt  reminds me of the racing kart with the slipper clutch where the engine revs up then the drivetrain gradually takes hold for some great acceleration. Fun!

Mine isn't blooming yet, at least I don't think so.  Although all sorts of new blooms have appeared just this week with the warm weather.
