Popular Post petitepedal Posted April 26, 2019 Popular Post Share #1 Posted April 26, 2019 Someone asked me how much weight I've lost...I told her "Not as much as you think" but I am now wearing 8's & 10's instead of being tight in a 12... Food wise I am not doing anything crazy..I do eat fewer carbs..but I still do carbs, less cheese..but Mmmm..Me still LOVE cheese, I am drinking 64oz or more of water (tea, sparkling water and the occasional soda) daily, I make healthy snacks... I am doing less wine... As to exercise...well..you guys already know I am crazy..but I make sure I have rest days and days of easier walks... Being healthy, with a fair amount of strength, and balance and a decent fitness level are my goals. It is very hard to not struggle with the very very very...slow drop in weight...but I also need to enjoy life...I will be making a homemade pizza..either tonight or tomorrow...less fat or salt than anything I could buy fresh or frozen!! 4
2Far Posted April 26, 2019 Share #2 Posted April 26, 2019 Terrible. I've gained 6 pounds since Monday morning. I don't get it. Depressing. ~66 workouts this year.
maddmaxx Posted April 26, 2019 Share #3 Posted April 26, 2019 I lost a pound overnight.
late Posted April 26, 2019 Share #4 Posted April 26, 2019 I've been working out, so I've gained a few pounds. While it's possible to build muscle, and lose fat, you need to watch calories fanatically. I am fanatic about calories, just not that way. I am on the edge of a number of bad things. I know when I am getting fatter without a scale, my sleep gets worse. It's a little better, but clearly, this is not ideal.

Dottleshead Posted April 26, 2019 Share #6 Posted April 26, 2019 For about 3 months+ I tread water. Not good or bad. It just 'is'.... which means I have work to do.
Longjohn Posted April 26, 2019 Share #7 Posted April 26, 2019 I’m up a couple pounds (not a bad thing). My wife eats three meals a day, I’m not used to eating like that. The other thing is I haven’t been to the gym for three months since I started taking care of her. If I’m not going to the gym or riding my bike it’s probably all fat I’m gaining ?.
Zephyr Posted April 26, 2019 Share #8 Posted April 26, 2019 I am a little behind after tweaking a hamstring in my second to last hockey game of the year, so only starting to ride regularly (other than back and forth to work) now. I am down 9 lbs since the start of the new year which is normal for me as my riding increases with the longer, drier days. Still not where I want to be, but I also like to eat bread. Parr8hed Posted April 26, 2019 Share #9 Posted April 26, 2019 Pretty well actually. I got off the wagon slightly but only put on about 5 from the weight that I'd lost. I am trying to rein things in. Need to get back on the bike more.
bikeman564™ Posted April 26, 2019 Share #10 Posted April 26, 2019 Cut back on snacking, more water than pop, no alcohol. I'm lean.
JerrySTL Posted April 26, 2019 Share #11 Posted April 26, 2019 I gained about 15 lbs more than my winter normal after hurting my knee in October. I'm still about 10 lbs more than I'd like to be this time of the year, but have been tightening my belt a few more notches lately.
MickinMD Posted April 26, 2019 Share #12 Posted April 26, 2019 I have gained about 20 lbs of water weight since a change in diabetic medications plus a statin that I'm taking despite ALWAYS having excellent cholesterol numbers but statins are proven to be beneficial to diabetics. I'm trying to cut back on salts and snacks and hope it all balances back out. I'm burning at least 1000 Calories/week more than I was a year ago - 2019 is the first time since the early 2000's that I don't a connective tissue issue (shoulder, ankle, hip, etc.) and hope it all results in returing to the weight drop that was occurring with my current diet when I went from 294 to 231 lbs in a year and a half. I'm around 265 now.
Fret Buzz Posted April 26, 2019 Share #13 Posted April 26, 2019 I'm holding steady after a gluttonous Winter. I'm guessing I'll lose about a pound or two a month up through Sept/Oct and then start to hold steady or regain over the cooler months. I'm hoping I've been successful converting the little extra fat I have to muscle the past month or so and will continue that trend going forward.
ChrisL Posted April 26, 2019 Share #14 Posted April 26, 2019 I’m up about 10 lbs since Christmas. Seems like I’ve been sick pretty much all year with intermittent periods of good health. I’ve been fighting a bug since Monday & feel like sheot... Glucose is pushing 180 all week even though I’m eating well. My numbers often go wonky when I’m sick.

Popular Post Further Posted April 27, 2019 Popular Post Share #18 Posted April 27, 2019 I've lost 10 to 15 depending when I climb on the scale, and I'm not sure where I started. But I am a lot fitter, my clothes fit better, I can tie my shoes without holding my breath. I'm sleeping better, but I need more sleep, used to get by on 5 - 6 hours now 7 - 8 isn't enough. On days off I'll sleep 10 hours. Gratuitous Shrinking Violet pic 5
Ralphie Posted April 27, 2019 Share #19 Posted April 27, 2019 Not good. I am struggling to get back to just overweight for the June weigh-in. Put back on all 10 pounds that I had lost last year. This winter weight thing sucks, but I do enjoy hibernation, although I have been walking the dog at least a mile most days. I cut back pretty well on beer but could do a little more. I sure wish I was solely responsible for my diet. I can only do so much with portion control when my wife cooks. But then again when I do eat light there is the subsequent munchie bug to worry aboot. First world life is snot easy! 3
