What happened with the big Midwest blizzard that was predicted ?

We had a tremendous amount of snow that started at 5:00p.m. Saturday.  Big huge wet flakes falling straight down.  They melted the moment they touched the ground.  They started accumulating around 7:00 as the temp dropped.  We ended up with about 2 inches on the ground by the time it stopped.  It was all gone by noon on Sunday.

No big snow event.  We were on the edge of the 1-3 and 2-4 inch line.  No schools were closed and no church services were cancelled.

We can now return to normal programming............ rain.

Not just the Midwest! I talked to a cousin in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania Saturday Night and she said they were expecting snow the next day.  I would guess the ground is too warm for much to stick but, having spent some summers there in my youth, I know it takes longer for the Sun to rise above the mountains in the east and sets sooner behind the mountains in the west so the mornings tend to be cool even in Summer.
