Road Runner Posted May 13, 2019 Share #2 Posted May 13, 2019 It would never pass building inspections. But I agree on the asbestos. That stuff will make your house fire proof.

Page Turner Posted May 13, 2019 Share #6 Posted May 13, 2019 ...you would have loved my 1920's built house over on 48th street. Not only did it meet all your construction standards, all the siding was the original redwood, it had a garage so small you could only fit a compact car into it. And it had the most lovely rose garden in the side yard. It was there I first learned to grow roses well. All of them were old 50's and 60's varieties, so not really old roses. But very representative of that era. I think there were over a dozen varieties, all in a line of border beds with brick edging. Very formal. I could have cut roses of different types all summer long there. I remodeled it for my mother after we bought this house and she decided to move here. Gutted the kitchen and put in custom cabinets, rewired a bunch of stuff, replaced a lot of the plumbing and tile floor in the kitchen instead of some vinyl flooring. She didn't like it and moved on after a year or two. 1

We wouldn't be using them on horses and cows if they didn't work.

I do use bag balm on all my scabby wounds from hitting my calves on pedals, and general scrapes and owwies. I have a tin of the stuff that has lasted me about four years now, but it's getting down toward the end now. If you research the active ingredient in bag balm, it's interesting stuff. It works like an antibiotic, but is not actually an antibiotic. It was quite the revolutionary discovery back in its time.

Can't you still order something from Sears? And, make sure you don't try to sneak a closet in there. NO CLOSETS! You can have hooks, and maybe shelves, but we don't want to see any closets.
