I continue to wonder if the amount of media attention we have given school shooters in the past decade has contributed to more of them.

 

I pray that as few good things that may come out of these situations, the one thing that might is to shine a spotlight on mental illness in this country, that we might improve both our perceptions of it as well as diagnosis and treatment.  Such a heavy stigma often results in hiding what might otherwise be able to be treated.

Lone Wolf...you're correct on all accounts there. Spotlight on some seriously ill kid...his 15 of fame and then the lack of quality care for those who are suffering with mental health issues.

 

Society looses.
