Still not using the air conditioner!

Having lived in Key West and VA Beach/Norfolk back in the days before everything was air conditioned including cars I wouldn't bother at all if the family didn't threaten me.

There are places much hotter and more humid.  Kuala Lumpur for example has an average high of 89 in december.  Vientiane averages 94 in april.

I feel bad... apparently it's getting pretty warm in our house today, while I'm nice and cool at work.  Our AC at home is still in winter mode, with all vents closed and plexiglass over the main cold air return.  All these things are in the ceiling and I wonder how hot it will have to be in the house before my wife gets out the step stool....

When I was stationed at Ft Myer the patrol vehicles had AC but my 83 Ford Escort didn’t.  Oh man driving in the summer in that thing  was brutal.  We also had a few power outages in the barracks and the rooms would get stifling pretty quick.

I went to boot camp in Great Lakes in the winter.  My first duty station for school was in Key West.  The weekend I arrived the guys invited me to play some B ball.  The gym had typical Key West air conditioning.............all the outside doors were wide open to let the breeze in.  I thought I was going to die.  2 years later when I left I was accustomed to sleeping with a blanket year round and temps in the 60's were unbearable.  One adapts.

For the 2nd day in a row it's reached 91F at my house with Baltimore's usual very high humidity, but there's a nice breeze today.  If I turn the air conditioner on it will be for dehumidification purposes.

Come on, Tuesday and Wednesday!

Ever think about moving to Bayfield Wisconsin?

I like Bayfield. I'd move there. The mountain biking and gravel riding south of there in Chequamegon  is amazing.

Looks like it is still nordic season.

And the paddle boarding and kayaking in that part of the state is awesome.
