smudge ★ Posted May 26, 2019 Share #2 Posted May 26, 2019 I'm stuck inside today at work. I'd much rather be at camp working on my shed. Aches and pains be damned! Sitting outside reading a book certainly sounds relaxing though!
Zephyr Posted May 26, 2019 Share #3 Posted May 26, 2019 I am still in 'merica. It has been a while since I crossed the border. The last time was 2 weeks before the 2016 election. I have not seen a single "Make America Great Again" hat yet.

ChrisL Posted May 26, 2019 Share #5 Posted May 26, 2019 Chillin in La Jolla today. Threat of rain has kept the crowds away. 3
ChrisL Posted May 26, 2019 Share #6 Posted May 26, 2019 This place is literally dead on a Memorial Day weekend. Very unusual but we’re digging it!
MickinMD ★ Posted May 26, 2019 Share #7 Posted May 26, 2019 I'm recovered from Friday's fast walk but it's pushing 90F outside and I'm doing a lot of swimming/treading water at tomorrow's pool party. so I'll be lazy today.
Zealot Posted May 26, 2019 Share #8 Posted May 26, 2019 We closed down the wine festival yesterday. Drank a lot, danced for hours. We’re recovering today. Had some rain already and it’s pretty muggy and hot out currently, so I’m good with chillin. 1

Popular Post Parsnip Totin Jack ★ Posted May 26, 2019 Popular Post Share #11 Posted May 26, 2019 I did a long bike ride with a friend (72 miles). We started at 5:30 to miss the heat and stupid people on the trail ( other than us). Showered, lunched, napped. Waiting to go to a local place for steak, crab cakes and beer. Currently listening to Miles Davis, Kind of Blue on the phonograph. 5

On the way, we passed the Ruck to Remember team. They hike 60 miles in three days to DC to remember the fallen members of the military.

That pretty awesome.

sheep_herder ★ Posted May 27, 2019 Share #16 Posted May 27, 2019 Took care of the critters, and turned a bunch of lambs onto the front lawn to graze. Then I played a bit with the wood ducks.

Zephyr Posted May 27, 2019 Share #18 Posted May 27, 2019 We came back into Vancouver and met our son for the day. Did a few hikes in some local parks. The D2 and S-only treated her to a Dark Table meal. The restaurant is totally black and you eat in the dark. All the wait staff are legally blind. @Square Wheels did one a year or so ago in Montreal. It was a neat experience and made me appreciate how hard it must be to eat out when you are blind. Now waiting for the ferry home 2
