I haven't fished for bottom-feeding fish: most of my salt water set-ups are rigged for the lures or live bait to go about 15 ft down and most fresh water lures are near-surface stuff. I use a #6 hook with a night crawler on it. If it’ snot windy I assume it’s on the bottom. This week has been fierce winds so it probably wasn’t on the bottom.
