His clothing takes up waaaay more space than mine in suitcase because he is 5'10". I'm 5'1". Something like this. But otherwise I have no objection to packing jointly. If we can get away with one bag we'll do it, but generally it ends up being one apiece. I really don't understand the seemingly visceral reaction some have to the idea of your clothes sharing suitcase space with your spouse's. It's not like you're sharing a room or anything. 3

In the lunch discussion, one of the strong negative reactions was because when they shared a suitcase, the spouse would start questioning if the other spouse really needed 3 pairs of shoes, wouldn't two suffice? Too many questions and value judgements about what the other person was packing.
jsharr ★ Posted June 12, 2019 Share #53 Posted June 12, 2019 Short trips, driving, we tend to pack our own bags. Flying, longer trip, we will share a bag. If it is just me I often just use my Scout back pack.
