There is a Dutch word I love and has no true English equivalent which is ferfalent.  (Im spelling it phonetically, I’m sure I’m missing 3 additional vowels...)

Basically means being a pain in the ass. Difficult would be close but difficult can be applied to people, situations or objects. Ferfalent is only used for difficult  people.
