Popular Post Longjohn ★ Posted June 16, 2019 Popular Post Share #1 Posted June 16, 2019 Sitting in the living room relaxing when all of our devices went crazy with tornado warnings. I went outside and the air was calm, no rain, but the sky was dark. I came back inside and we had lost all internet and tv signal’ . The rain started and we had a downpour for a half hour. Still no wind. The tornado warning was through 5:45. At 5:45 the rain stopped and the sun came out. I don’t think I could get my wife downstairs and I know I couldn’t get her back upstairs so I’m glad it missed us.
Ralphie ★ Posted June 16, 2019 Share #2 Posted June 16, 2019 We made the national news last Thursday when a couple touched down very nearby but thankfully caused little property damage and no casualties. 1
Longjohn ★ Posted June 16, 2019 Author Share #3 Posted June 16, 2019 I haven’t heard where this one was sighted. We had all of the old tablets and smart phones charged up because the granddaughter use them on the long ride to church each Sunday. Each device seemed to have a different warning for the tornado. Our current iPhones and iPads just gave out a loud alarm and a printed message came on the screen. One of the old Android tablets had a lady in a loud stern voice come on and warn us. She kept urging us to take shelter now. I was going to get my wife in the bathroom and hope for the best.

BuffJim Posted June 17, 2019 Share #5 Posted June 17, 2019 Bad one in Indiana last night in a tiny village called Bentonville, near the Ohio line just south of I-70. Two girls I grew up with have a cousin who is pastor of a 140 year old church. Totally demolished. Hopefully they can rebuild.
Parsnip Totin Jack ★ Posted June 17, 2019 Share #6 Posted June 17, 2019 Wife of 7 said they had a tornado warning last night. They went to the basement for shelter. She said she never saw LAJ move so fast before.
