I don't understand this retort.  Why would you want anyone to bite you?  If you have ever been bitten, you know it hurts like hell.

I certainly don't want someone I am angry with to bite me.  :o

I guess if you are really pissed at what someone said, you should say, "Hit me in the face with a baseball bat!"

I don't use that word and I certainly wouldn't call anyone a dolt.

Discriminating people say UTG.  You should try it.

Phrase used to express defiance against or contempt for someone - 2 words, 6 letters, last letter 'e'?

There are times when I thoroughly enjoy being bitten.

These days such affairs are mellow. I intensely miss intensity.

This is easy.  I pulled these two just off the first page of searches.  And there's six more.  I don't want to keep embarrassing @Kzoo so I'll stop.

Yeah you can rest easy.  It was sarcasm.  Sorry to get your whities all in a bunch.

I got into more research than I expected. It appears there never was much sense in "Bite me," which may have originated as "Bite my ass."

Apparently some dictionaries claims it means "commit fellatio" but others say that's clearly not the case.

Another says it derives from "bite the bullet" (die).

In other words, no one knows.

The only agreement is that it began somewhere after 1940 in America.

An interesting study for a psyc class might be to learn why the phrase became so appealing and widespread when it invites damage to the person saying it!
