Randomguy Posted July 5, 2019 Share #1 Posted July 5, 2019 Actually, I would take you to a gay diner if you were to visit. It is really good, you would love it. Because you are gay. Or you like really good food. Or both. The end.
Airehead Posted July 5, 2019 Share #2 Posted July 5, 2019 I would love that. Good drinks at the gay bars I have been to— bartenders seem to care about the craft. Well except for that one blue drink that tasted like Hawaiian Punch and gave me the worst hangover I have ever had. Hmm, come to think of it my second worst hangover was also earned in a gay bar. Sloe gin was the primary poison. No, maybe I won’t go to a gay bar with you. I am too old for those drinks. I will go to the diner. 2

The burger is one of the best ever, but they shocked me with the potatoes. Crispy, sticky, kind of sweet. I was baffled by them, to tell you the truth. I made it a point to go back, but I have not the gay burger funds to spend (it was $17, I think. Spendy, but worth every dime). When are you coming?

Popular Post Further Posted July 5, 2019 Popular Post Share #7 Posted July 5, 2019 I was 20, just moved to Denver, Capitol Hill, Saturday, my buddy who had convinced me to move, was working. So I find myself in the corner bar, get to playing pool with some guy, we get along well and drink several beers. Both of us a dirt poor and he's showing me how to get along in Denver. We visit a fried chicken place he used to work at and score some "discount"chicken. Hit another cheap bar and drink more. Go to a Go Go type joint, girls in skimpy dress dancing, not quite a strip joint, but I was 20, and hammered.. So I'm hootin & hollern, generally being a drunk 20 year old. My new buddy elbows me and tells me to calm down, I ask why. He tells me those are guys up there, this is a gay bar and you can score a place to stay... I said "those are guys" yes Turned to the guy on the other side of me and asked "you a queer ?" "yesss" I stumbled around for quite a while but eventually found the dump apartment my buddy was living in. 4

Square Wheels Posted July 6, 2019 Share #16 Posted July 6, 2019 I went to a gay bar once. The had a stage and seating downstairs. They put on a play, in drag. I did not appreciate it. The others I was with did. The group I went with was mostly straight.

Prophet Zacharia Posted July 10, 2019 Share #24 Posted July 10, 2019 I went to a lesbian bar in DC once with my girlfriend at the time. She went to visit a friend from college, I have no idea why it had to be THERE of all places. It was pretty boring, then we got out of there. team scooter Posted July 10, 2019 Share #25 Posted July 10, 2019 Sunday my wife and I took some friends to a well known local biker bar that has an awesome lunch menu. They seemed nervous in the parking lot. Said they were told to avoid places like this. After we went inside and sat down, they scanned the room. They saw a bunch of mostly older folks. Retired Doctors, lawyers etc,, talking about their grandkids, dogs or gardens. Some even came over to ask us about our cars. We had a great lunch and our friends traveled out of their safe place and learned that people are people. Some just have different interests and dress differently. Bikers are smelly, and they dress in Lycra.
