Big projects are notorious for motorized equipment going missing. I studied Cognition and Learning under a professor who had been a U.S. Air Force Pilot during the Korean War. At one point, he was assigned to a base in Canada and was asked to go out near a dock and count the jeeps. He came back and said there were 12. "Can't be. We only have 11. Go count them again."
