Square Wheels Posted June 16, 2014 Share #2 Posted June 16, 2014 That's a lot of climbing. I'm clearly still very new to this, but if I put in all that time and was so close to the 100 mark, I would have gone just a tiny bit further.
az_cyclist Posted June 16, 2014 Author Share #3 Posted June 16, 2014 That's a lot of climbing. I'm clearly still very new to this, but if I put in all that time and was so close to the 100 mark, I would have gone just a tiny bit further. I have ridden at least 100 miles on several different rides, and over 200 miles twice ( the Hemet double century, 2013 and 2014). I am in the UltraMarathon cycling year rounder challenge this year in which you ride 12 rides of 90+ miles in 10 months. It would bother me if the ride was actually 100 miles and I stopped short at 98. If I finish the entire ride, and what is billed as a century is actually 98 miles, no biggie.
